An understanding heart is everything in a teacher, and cannot be esteemed highly enough. One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feeling. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

Annette Castillo
Annette Castillo comes from the Fresno Area from a family of ten and feels her involvement with children has been never-ending. As a child she was raised with the consciousness of caring for others, she and her siblings volunteered at hospitals working with children who were ill and also with organizations such as the Special Olympics. Annette has also cared for children as a young babysitter in her community and later as a nanny. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business. She is in the process of completing the RIE I training and is currently the RIE resident at the RIE Institute. With her knowledge and experience and now the training she is able to take from all and make the RIE philosophy her own.
